Perhaps they are not stars; but rather openings in Heaven, where the love of our lost ones pour through and shine down upon us, to let us know they are happy.

My letter to Ethan - Ethan Lowrey August 13, 1990 - April 13, 2004
Even youth's grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall;
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles:
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:30
Dear Ethan, it is hard to believe that it has been seven years since you went home to Heaven.I think of you everyday and miss you. I wonder everyday what your doing up there, and what you and God talk about.I'm guessing that you and Pappy are probably checking the wheat for green bugs, and standing on the banks of the Brazos watching the sunset, waiting for Mamaws fresh bread to come out of the oven. I think that's what Heaven must smell like, Mamaws fresh bread. Caleb has really grown, he's not the "scawney little kid" anymore.We go outside at night when the sky is clear and look up at the stars and talk about you. I tell him your up there building my mansion for me and he laughs and kids me that your just building me a one room shack.I told him that was OK as long as it was next to water I didn't really care, cause when I get there I'm just going to sit on my porch in my rocking chair anyway! Well guess I better go for now, tell God I said thanks for taking such good care of you up there. While your talking to God could you put in a good word for us down here, we're kinda dry and could sure use some rain. And one more thing, could ya tell God I'm really sorry for being so mad at him when he took you away, I've told him myself several times and I know he heard me, but if you don't mind could ya tell him again for me.Well so long for now, you give Pappy and Mamaw a kiss for me and I'll give Caleb a kiss for you. Love you always, see ya soon.
